So, you may face many difficulties because of the long and rocky trail.
Difficulty in the season of trekking
You must lookup for the trekking season while trekking Annapurna base camp. Usually, there are two main seasons for trekking in Annapurna region pre-monsoon (March, April, and May) and post-monsoon (late September, October, November, and December). In these seasons you will enjoy your trek fully as the weather does not disturb you and you can have a clear view of the mountains. But in seasons like January and February falls on the mid-winter season of Nepal and Annapurna region is one of the coldest places. The temperature may fall to minus so some people may not bear so cold. And may extend your trekking time because of cold weather. So, you will have many unprepared difficulties due to the weather. To avoid altitude sickness, you must drink lots and lots of water. Do not take any sleeping pills and do not consume alcohols it may worsen the case.
Difficulty in food and accommodation
Annapurna base camp is famous for the teahouse. It is also widely known as the teahouse trek of Nepal so; you will find lots of teahouse during the trek. There is basic facility like beds and blankets. You will not find single rooms easily. There will be only one or two toilets and bathrooms so you will have to share. If you are a luxury haunter, you will not be happy with the accommodation facility of the hotels and the teahouse. They may charge extra fees for another facility like Wi-Fi, hot water, single rooms, etc. as you move further the availability of facilities decreases.
You will not have options for food, you will have to eat the thing which is available there. The main difficulty of Annapurna base camp is lack of clean water, the water that they provide you in the teahouse or the hotels are not clean. Because of this, you may suffer from dehydration.
