  Costs for Guide and porters

Everest base camp is one of the longest distance treks in Nepal. You will be trekking for several days so it is not possible to carry your trekking luggage by yourself therefore, you will need to hire a porter for carrying your stuff. Similarly, you will also need to hire a guide as they giving information about the place in your native language. Training can cost about $8,000. As the route to Everest base camp goes through many remote places so for a meal, you will find many milk items. Cheese and Durkhas are very famous there. During this trek, you will have to spend the US $20 – $30 per day for a simple meal and tea/coffee. Drinks on the Everest region costs for the bottle of beer NPR 5000 – 800 (USD 4.5 – 8) and for a bottle of water, it costs up to NPR 100 – 400 (USD 0.5 – USD 4). All in all, you will spend $800 to $1000 on your food during the trek.

 

Costs for climbing permit

However, for trekking to Everest base camp, there are some trekking that you will have to take i.e. TIMS card and Sagarmatha national park card. You can get this card on the trekking department on Kathmandu and Pokhara. The cost for each trekking permit varies. The first permit that you will need for entering Khumbu region is Sagarmatha national park card. Climbing permits will cost $11,000 in peak season and cost $8000 in other seasons. Then comes TIM’s card, the cost for TIMS card for the people of SAARC countries is US $3, for organized TIMS card is the US $20 and for individual trekkers is the US $ 20. Additionally, trekking to Pasang Lhamu Village Municipality you will need a special permit that will cost NPR 2000 per person.

Flight cost from Kathmandu to Lukla airport

The first step for trekking to Everest base step begins to form the flight to Lukla airport for Kathmandu. You will reach Lukla from Kathmandu within 35 – 40 minutes.  The cost of that flight is USD $200 per flight per person and it runs every morning scheduled from 6:00 am and 11:00 am the flight to Luka operates on a daily basis through free baggage several.
