There are three trails that take trekkers to mount Annapurna, the first is Annapurna circuit which takes you to the Annapurna Himal itself, the second route is the Annapurna sanctuary which takes you to Annapurna base camp and the third one is the trek through Jomsom which is not preferred by trekkers because of the muddy and disturbing road.

Food and accommodation: – Annapurna base camp is the most visited well-known trekking destination. Food and accommodation are not difficult to get. You will find a small teahouse everywhere. A disadvantage of trekking Annapurna base camp in April
- It is possible that during the daytime there may appear some cloud which might block the view.
- The temperature in the daytime is higher so, you will be sweaty and hot which will make it difficult to walk uphill’s.
- Altitude sickness might occur
- The hotels and lodges may not provide the proper facilities. You will have to share your bedrooms.
- You will not find hotels in high altitude places so you will have to carry a tent with you.
- A facility like a guide, porter, wife, electricity may not be available.
Tips for trekking to Annapurna base camp in April
- You will need to pack a pair of trekking boots and airproof jackets
- You will not find clean water every and you might suffer from dehydration so you will always need to carry some purification tablets.
- If you are trekking alone without a guide, you might forget the way or get lost so you need to have a map of the Annapurna region.
- You need to carry some of the personal stuff like toothpaste, toiletries, chargers, sanitizer, etc.
- Always carry cash with you because the ATM facility may not be available.
- Be prepared for common problems like altitude sickness, slight fever, and headache.
