Annapurna Luxury Lodge Trek is an easy and short trek in Annapurna. Trekking in Annapurna is, without a doubt, one of the world’s most beautiful destinations- perfect for mountain and nature lovers. Rich in diverse flora and fauna and surrounded by stunning mountains – the Annapurna region has it all. A combination of snow-capped peaks, crystal clear blue lakes, chaotic rivers with deep gorges, sacred Hindu temples and Buddhist monasteries, hot springs, and picturesque vintage villages inhabited by numerous ethnic groups. Due to a difference in latitude, Anapurna’s natural environment is a very diverse one. From sub-tropical forests of oak, bamboo, pine, sandalwood, magnolia, juniper and rhododendron inside the south region; to the high alpine meadows and windswept, barren plateaus up the north. While trekking in the Annapurna, you can also encounter many colorful species of butterfly, striking birds, Blue Sheep, Himalayan Tahr, bear, leopard, monkey, and much more unique local fauna.
The 08-day Annapurna Luxury Lodge Trek begins with the sightseeing tour of the historical and cultural monuments in Kathmandu valley. The very next day, the trek starts from the flight to Pokhara “Gateway of Annapurna region.” Heading towards, we will enjoy the breathtaking views of the snow-capped mountains, the picturesque landscapes, the diverse and unique culture, and traditions along with the warm hospitality of the local people.
The best time for the trek is from mid-Sept to Mid December and March to May; we can travel in the rainy season also in these parts of the trek. When the days are crisp and of the scenery lovely. Best Travel Time: February to Mid June, September – November is the best season. Dec & January is Winter, July & August is a rainy time; We can do the trek by the view is reduced due to rain.
Departure Dates: We can offer this trek on any dates during the months Feb, March, April, May, June, Sept, Oct, November, and December for a group of 1 to 12 people.
Equipment rental: We advise you to bring all of your clothing and gear from home, however in Kathmandu there are many shops to buy and rent trek related equipment.
Your trek Backpack/duffle bag: Our porters will carry your baggage on the trek, the maximum weight per trekkers is 15 kg, including your sleeping bag, and down jacket; other items not required on the trek, you can put your bag in our office or your hotel in Kathmandu or Pokhara.
Transportation: Plane/ alternative local jeep drive.
Day 01: - Arrival in Kathmandu, transfer to hotel.
We will be present there at the airport for your convenience to greet you and to transfer to your desired hotel. When you have had your time to settle in and freshen up after a long flight, you will be invited to visit our office for a briefing about your program. You will have a meeting with your trekking guide and discuss the equipment needed for the trekking. We will also process the trekking permits. If you arrive at night, we will have the same discussion the next day morning, after breakfast.
Day 02: - A full day recreational tour of Kathmandu, the capital valley
The very next morning, after breakfast you will be taken for a full day sightseeing tour around Kathmandu valley. You can visit the center of pilgrimage Pashupatinath Temple and Swyambhunath, very ancient and essentially enlisted in UNESCO World Heritage sites, also the biggest Buddhist Stupa at Boudhanath. Visit Patan, the city of fine arts with Durbar Square full of Hindu temples and Buddhist monuments. On a journey back to the hotel, you can explore the local areas, gullies, and lifestyle. After your dinner, you can perhaps take a stroll through the famous streets like Thamel and Durbarmarg.
Day 03: - Flight to Pokhara trek to Ghandruk Himalaya Lodge Maximum Altitude: 1,940 m Trek Hours: 5 hours
Early morning takes a short scenic flight to Pokhara; on arrival airport, you will be a meet and greet by our trekking crew. Drive to Nayapul by private vehicle to the trek start point. We will begin our trek to the Himalaya Lodge at Ghandruk. The trek is uphill hiking, which starts with a hike through small settlements of Gurung people, terraced rice fields, and forests. The views of the surrounding mountains on the trail are amazing. After some hours trekking, we will reach Ghandruk, but the Lodge is on the top of the village, one hour of the steep climb away. Once you reach the Lodge, there will be smiling, friendly faces with refreshments waiting for you. Snacks will be served on the trail while you’ll get the lunch at the Lodge shortly after you freshen up. This Lodge is the nearest one to the Annapurna Range, and the view outside is dominated mainly by Annapurna South and Machhapuchhre. The sunrise and sunsets are also worth watching from here. Breakfast is one of the highlights here. Served on the lawn with spectacular views of the mountains like the Fishtail as the backdrop emerging from the morning fog, makes it a picturesque moment.
Day 04: - Trek to Landruk, La Bee Lodge
After enjoying a relaxing breakfast with a fantastic view at the Himalaya Lodge, it is time for you to set off for your trek to the next destination, Landruk. Your trek will start with a steep descent until you reach the banks of the Modi River. Here, you will come across the base of the cliff climbed by world-famous honey hunters to collect honey from the bee’s nest on the cliffside. Next, you will cross a suspension bridge across the Modi River. After about an hour of the trek, you will reach the village of Landruk. Landruk, a village of Gurung community, is famous for its honey hunters who climb up bamboo ladders to collect honeycomb from rock cliff faces. After lunch at the lodge, your guide will take you to a mini-tour of this beautiful mountain village. This village is famous not only for its honey hunters but also for its breathtaking views of the Annapurna Range. Overnight at the Lodge.
Day 05: - Trek to Dhampus, Basanta Lodge Maximum Altitude: 1,525 m Trek Hours: 6-7 hours
After breakfast, you will begin your trek towards Dhampus. Your trek today is relatively easy, with much of the route being on relatively even ground. Your trek will start with a walk through the villages of Tolka, Bheri Kharka, and Pothana. The trail crosses forests of orchids, rhododendrons, magnolias and red sandal trees. Once you reach the Lodge, you can enjoy a hearty lunch and then choose to go for a walk through the old village of Dhampus. The Basanta Lodge at Dhampus offers panoramic views of the Phedi and Mardi Valleys along with the entire Annapurna Range. Overnight at the Lodge.
Day 06: - Trek to Phedi and Drive to Pokhara, Maximum Altitude: 1,130 m Travel Hours: 1-hour drive to Pokhara Trek Hours: 2 hour
After breakfast, you will commence on your last bit of trekking of this trip. It is an easy and fun 2 hours trek to Phedi. You will start your trek by descending through flights of stairs and undulating terrain and finally through hilly land to reach Phedi. From here, you will take a private vehicle to Pokhara. On the way, you can choose to visit the Tibetan refugee camp. You can explore Tibetan Buddhist monasteries and their local market in the refugee camp. You will be staying in a good hotel at Pokhara located adjacent to Phewa Lake and is also near the lake street of Pokhara. You will get amazing views of the Annapurna Range as well as Phewa Lake from your hotel room. Once in Pokhara, you can either explore the hotel, indulge in spas and massages, or take a stroll around the lakeside. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 07 - Pokhara to Kathmandu, Take a 25 minutes flight or 6/7 hour Drive by tourist bus or private car.
You can take a flight or drive by tourist bus/Private car to Kathmandu. In the evening, you can have your last night in Nepal, enjoying the Nepali cultural dinner show, taking some beautiful snaps, and making up your mind for the returning journey. (Or stay longer for short tours such as drives at National parks, rafting, Tibet tours, mountain biking, etc.).
You can have greetings exchanging among friends and buy some souvenirs.
