 Bardia National Park is established in 1988 as Royal Bardia National Park. Covering an area of 968 km2 (374 sqm).  it is the principal and for the whole wilderness region in Nepal’s Terai. The park is home to endangered animals such as the Royal Bengal tiger, wild elephant, Greater one-horned rhinoceros, swamp deer, and blackbuck. The other endangered species include gharial-crocodile, marsh mugger, and Gangetic dolphin. Other birds we also can see is the Bengal florican, lesser florican, and sarus crane.

Crocodile Breeding Centre:

We can visit the Crocodile Breeding Center. They have  Gharial and Marsh mugger to increase its number, which includes two major sections-hatchery and rearing sections. you can enjoy the exciting visit to the crocodile breeding center here.

Jeep Drive:

Jeep drive is another best thing in Bardia to see the animals.  It is also the way to observe the wildlife. We will take you across into the jungle in four wheels drive vehicles and have more frequent sightings of the park’s unique animals, vegetation, and birds. Along the drive, you can also stop the Jeep and wait to see the wild animals, We can walk to the animal possibilities area as well as see the various types of forests and natural beauty and scenery.

Karnali River Rafting:

An early morning 30 km drive by jeep will drop you by the Karnali River. Nepal Rafting is a great opportunity to sight the river birds, Asiatic Gangetic dolphins, crocodiles, insects, three big animals, and many more living in the river system as well as great fishing in the river. Swimming is also possible and sometimes even the dolphins may join your excitement.

Tharu village tour:

Tharus are the local community of Chitwan and Bardia National parks. It is a great way to interact with their cultures.  You will gain insight into the indigenous Tharus, the ancient native people of the Bardia jungle. You can also, experience the local routes and typical lifestyles of villagers. This gives visitors an opportunity to intermingle with locals and get familiarity with their culture and traditions.

Elephant Safari:

Elephant safari is also the safest way to explore the wildlife up close. The elephant takes you to the bush and natural habitat of the quiet and beautiful jungle. which provides a different view of the park. We will do the safari on the back of the Elephant in the grassland and dense forest on elephant back in search of rare wildlife. Jungle/ Nature Walk:

We will do the Jungle walk with our best naturalist. They are very good to track wildlife. They will find the best place in the jungle to point out the hidden life of the wildlife, where you can have wildlife experiences by walking safely, quietly, and leisurely through the forest as well as riverside. A highlight of this trip will be the viewing from the watchtowers (Machhan) to have the wild sightseeing. We need to walk around the prime areas of the park to view nature’s gifts. We can observe the different wild species of animals and birds blended with the surrounding flora and fauna.

Cultural Program:

A cultural program performed by the Tharus is another way to enjoy and make a significant contrast to the visit. Get entertain with stick dances and folk songs. The drumbeat and the agile breathtaking stick dance performed by the Tharus people. Their rhythmic movements and the exciting drumbeat may urge you to join them in their performances.
