Spring Seasons (March to May):

Spring seasons are regarded as the best season to travel to the Mountain region. April is an ideal time for crystal unobstructed views, especially when you combine them with the bright red hills of Rhododendrons. The blooming flowering, lush green forests, and warmer weather bring more trekkers during this period.
The lower sections of the Annapurna Base Camp may be too hot sometimes that you may feel uncomfortable somehow. Thus, hydrating yourself by serving plenty of water may be the best idea.

The average day time temperature at lower altitudes is around 10 degrees Celsius while the night is usually just on freezing. Day time temperatures can get towards 20 degrees Celsius at lower latitudes, and night temperatures are about 5 degrees. The higher, you reach the colder it gets. The temperature over 4000m is usually cold in the evenings and mornings, with sunny weather during the day.

The May months depict peculiar characteristics as a strange haze often appears over the mountains that can be seen at low altitudes. Summer seasons (June to September):

Torrential downpours, hordes of leeches, and mud-slides are the major climate problems of this season. Summer or monsoon seasons (June to Aug) is boon for the botanists while it may be not much suitable for keen trekkers as erratic rainfall may occur any time of the day and can continue for many days. Besides, the attack of Leech can be disgusting and make the journey unfruitful.

Luckily the Annapurna’s circuit blesses in this matter. especially in the northern part where there is pretty little chance of rainfall. Thus trek is doable even in the monsoon period. However, the southern section near Pokhara gets heavy rainfall and making the trip hard. Hence trekking on that side is not recommending well in this season. Mustang region lying in the rain-shadow area makes trekking entirely possible during the Monsoon.

Pokhara is supposed to get to Pokhara to get 800mm of rain per month during this period, areas whereas Jomsom and Mapha get as little as 50mm of rain. Be warned though that rain clouds will obscure much of the landscape, and you’ll still need to be watchful of mud-slides. So early morning view can sometimes be the worst experience. Another disadvantage is that you may have to wait for a few days until the clear of the sky for the stunning view of mountains. However, the eye-catching mountain peaks view is worth waiting for.

Winter seasons (December to February):

If you want to experience a lifetime moments and want to be surrounded by snowy mountains under the crystal clear sky, then with no doubt, the winter season is perfect for you. This period is considering as the coldest weather among the other seasons. The places around the Annapurna region will be icy as the temperature goes below 0C and can be as low as -10C. Based on the height of Altitude, your trek, the temper; features at a different time may vary.
Unfortunately, there is pretty little warmness you will be facing during the whole day. Day temperatures will be freezing. Some of the passes may be closed; if the pass is closed, you will have to back-track on yourself and won’t be able to complete the Circuit.
