Detailed Itinerary of Everest Base Camp Tibet Tour Fly in Fly Out

Day 01 – Kathmandu (1,300m) – Lhasa (3,650m) or Arrival in Lhasa from China

Departure Transport to Tribhuban Airport and Trans – Himalayan flight to Tibet (Gongaar airport) (1hr.) On arrival at the airport, our representative will take you to your respective hotel; it will be about a 1-hour drive from the airport to the hotel, full rest for acclimatization.

Day 02-03 – Two Full Days Sightseeing Tour In Lhasa

Visit Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple & Barkhor Bazaar, Drepung Monastery, and  Sera Monastery – O/N at  Hotel.

Day 04 – Lhasa – Gyantse (3950m) – Shigatse (3900m)

Drive to Gyantse via Yamadroke Lake and high passes: Kora LA (5,010m) & Kamba La (4,794m) – Sightseeing in Gyantse, including Pholkor & Kumbum Monastery. PM: scenic drive to Xigatse(1.5hrs) through the typical Tibetan Countryside –   Hotel.

Day 05 – Xigatse – Ronbuk (4980m) 334km

AM: Visit Panchen Lama’s Tashilhumpu Monastery. Then Drive to Xegar crossing over Gyatchula (a pass of 5,200m) –  Scenic drive to Rongbuk through the beautiful Tibetan countryside. Explore Rongbuk Monastery (highest monastery in the world) – O/N at Guest House

Day 06 – Ronbuk – Everest BC – Shigatse (3900m)

Hike up to Everest BC and explore around – back to Rongbuk -Drive to Shigatse O/N at Hotel

Day 07 – Shigatse to Lhasa (3600m) 351km

Drive back to Lhasa O/N at Hotel.

Day 08 – Day 08:-Lhasa to Kathmandu or China

Departure to Gonggar airport and fly back to Kathmandu or your onward destination.

Food on Mount Everest Tibet tour

Your Mount Everest Tibet tour package includes only breakfast. So, you may want to carry with you energy bars, dry foods like chocolates, cookies, etc to eat on the way. Restaurants in Lhasa, Gyantse, and Xigatse. You can have a choice of local, Chinese to Continental meals. the other places, you will find basic Tibetan foods.

You can take some basic medications for your Mount Everest Tibet tour, you can get it in there also but quite hard due to the language barrier. you can put in your kit box some antibiotics like Ciprofloxacin. Bring the usual Panadol/Tylenol (ibuprofen) for headaches, colds, and flu and Loperamide or equivalent for diarrhea, as well as medicine for stings and insect bites. You can also get altitude tablets which are called Diamox. you can also bring some Multi-Vitamins.
