Flight Delayed/ Cancellation:
Flight by plane and helicopter are prone to cancellations. Sometimes, the flight may delay for notorious weather in remote areas. Some other times, an operational complication may occur, which is more likely to happen in the Everest region -Lukla flight, Annapurna region- Jomsom flight, Dolpa, Simikot, Jumla region, etc.
As these flights have some problems with a fixed schedule, it is also recommended to carry extra money for food and accommodations. The Himalaya Trekking will not be responsible for these additional expenses or costs that come with these sorts of unforeseen reasons. So, we recommend you to plan accordingly.
Trekking in the remote areas, especially during odd season, you’re advised to reserve extra days to prepare with some delays and avoid frustrating consequences. In case of delay in flight before trek departure or at the end of the trek, you need to meet your accommodation, food costs by yourself.
If Above the Himalaya trekking is unable to offer the alternative trip.(i.e., govt. restriction, Landslide, road blockage, flood, political unrest) Then we will refund the amount of the cost has not already spent National park entrance fees, air ticket, TIMS card, guide and porter allowances, and office overhead. Unluckily the trek deposit amount is known refundable. You will have to reclaim the remaining amount from your travel insurance.
(Note: Travel Insurance is highly recommended. In case of flight cancellation, if you are in short of time and are unable to catch your scheduled flight back in Kathmandu, Above the Himalaya trekking can charter a helicopter at your service. However, the cost should be borne by you, which can later be claimed through the insurance company.)
