Brief Description of EBC Trek

Lukla to Everest Base Camp Trekking Map
You will start your journey be grabbing a direct flight to Lukla from Kathmandu. Lukla, the Sherpa village, is the starting point for our trip. The actual trek commences through it The Everest Base Camp trek follows the course of the Dudh Koshi, the ‘River of Milk,’ gradually climbing through forests of rhododendron and magnolia. The traditional route is Kathmandu – Lukla – Phakding – Namche -Tengboche – Dingboche – Lobuche – Gorakshep – Everest base camp. Nonetheless, you are always welcome to review and make changes to the route.
You’ll experience a quick glimpse of dynamic climate and vegetation zones. The trek journey will be halted for resting purposes after reaching Namche Bazaar. From Dingboche / Periche, the trail turns North-west to Lobuche before heading north again to Gorakshep.

Everest Base Camp Route Map:
The Everest Base Camp Route Map from Lukla to EBC is a classic one that is designed for most of the trekkers. This trek can be doable for people having average physical fitness and also sound health. Starting at Lukla, the whole trail passes through Phakding, Namche Bazaar, Dingboche, Lobuche, Gorakshep and finally ends at Everest Base Camp. Two rest days, one at Namche Bazaar and the other at Dingboche are recommendable resting days.
These resting days are for proper altitude acclimatization. The minimum estimated trek duration is of 10 days. Gorekshep consists of 3 lodges and a small frozen lake. After the grueling climb of the hill behind the lodge called Kala Patthar (5,643 m), you can then enjoy the spectacular views of the surrounding mountains. Kala Patthar (5,545m) and Everest Base Camp (5,364m) are the final destinations of most of the trekking routes of the Everest Base Camp trek. To reach there, you need to pass through forests and several Sherpa villages.
