Everest  Helicopter Trek offers a blend of enjoyment and excitement. They are accompanied by the beautiful surroundings of snow capped mountain peaks. Along with the world’s highest peak Everest. Also, the trekkers will get an opportunity to experience the distinct culture of Sherpa. Visit Khumbu Valley as well as the ancient monastery in the Sherpa valley, Flora and fauna, and so forth.

Everest Base camp helicopter trekking is the most traveled and famous trekking route in Nepal. Everyone knows Mount Everest is the tallest mountain in the world, so it is also known as the king of all Mountains, which offers you a spectacular view of all the Himalayan mountain ranges.  While penetrating through the flora and fauna biodiversity of Sagarmatha National Park, the trail winds through the magnificent forests of rhododendron.

When you reach the Base Camp, you will have climbed up to a height of 5364 meters. In terms of terrain, there are no ropes needed, and no ice picks needed. There is no vertical climbing involved. Depending on the time of year, you can go there and also get to see snow and ice on the trails. If you are going to Everest Base Camp for your next trip, then it’s a good choice, but if not, then, well, you missed out on an excellent opportunity to create an unforgettable experience.

The Trek starts with the flight from Kathmandu to Lukla. Next, we will trek up to Dudh Koshi, surrounded by the peaks, and head towards Namche Baazar. Similarly, the trek will lead us to Thyangboche Monastery (Largest gompa of Khumbu region). Villages of Pangboche and Pheriche, Lobuche, and at the Everest Base Camp. During the Trek, you will experience the excellent hospitality of Sherpa’s and their traditional lifestyle. With the panoramic view of Amadablam, Mt. Everest, Mt. Makalu, Mt. Cho Oyo, Mt Lhotse, Mt. Lhotse Shar, etc.

Not only the mountain peaks, the area included natural heritage sites indexed by UNESCO. Rich in pine forests of Rhododendron and endangered species of birds and animals. You will find the trek genuinely unique and memorable after all the majestic views and enjoyable experience. We will descend back from Gorakshep to Kathmandu on a helicopter flight making ourselves comfortable and relaxed.

Everest Helicopter Trek - Trip Info

  • Best Travel Time: February to Mid June, September – Mid December are the best seasons.  Dec & January are Winter and cold can be snow on the trail, July & August are rainy time, trekking can be done, but visibility can be reduced due to rain.

  • Trip Snippets:10 days, two night’s hotels, nine nights Lodges, Breakfast in Kathmandu, three meals a day ( breakfast, lunch, and dinner) during the trek are included.

  • Departure Dates: We can offer this trek on any dates during the months Feb, March, April, May, June, Sept, Oct, November, and December for a group of 1 to 12 people.
  • Equipment rental: We advise you to bring all of your clothing and gear from home, however in Kathmandu there are many shops to buy and rent trek related equipment.
  • Your trek Backpack/duffle bag: Our porters will carry your baggage on the trek; the maximum weight per trekkers is 15kg, including hand, bring If you have any items not required on the trek can take in our office or your hotel in Kathmandu.

Detailed Itinerary of Everest Helicopter Trek

Early morning we fly from Kathmandu to Lukla flight is about 40 minutes scenic flight. With clear weather, we get fantastic views of the mountains, including Everest, as we enter deep gorge of the Dudh Kosi valley. You begin your trek from Lukla following a gentle climb up the mountainside on the left bank of the Dudh Koshi River. Along the way, you will have a view of Mt Nupla (5885m) Kusum Kangaru (6367m) and the Mount Kwongde Range. We then take a leisurely walk for about two hours to Phakding village for the overnight stop and the rest of the time stroll around the village for local knowledge.

From Phakding, the trail follows the Dudh Koshi valley north, meandering through the pines, crossing it twice by small suspension bridges before reaching the village of Monjo, the entrance gate of the Sagarmatha National Park. Beginning with a slight climb to Jhorsalle, the trail passes waterfalls and other culturally and naturally occurring items of interest. Villages are interspersed with magnificent forests of Rhododendron, Magnolia, and fir. Along the way to you will be rewarded with your first glimpse of Kusum Kanguru (6369m) Thamserku (6608m), Everest (8848m), and Nuptse (7879 m). A steep climb up to the beautiful village of Namche Bazaar (3440m) will afford you further spectacular views and a comfortable place to spend the second night of the trek.
Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner.

Early in the morning, after having our breakfast, we will be picked up by the Private helicopter from Namche. The views of Ama Dablam, Thamserku, Kantega, Lhotse, Nuptse, will be an opportunity for mountain lovers. We will stop at Everest Base Camp and fly back to Kathmandu.
