Best short trek in Annapurna region

Trek start and end at Pokhara

We will start this trek from Pokhara by picking you up from your hotel. Drive to  Nayapul by private car journey for 1 hour 40 minutes. We will trek about 4 hours to Tikhedhunga first night or we can continue till Ulleri. The second day, We will trek to  Ghorepani 2874 meters. And, last day, we will reach Poon Hill in the early morning and returning back to Hill which is about 4 to 5 hours trek. And then finally with lots of memories and happiness, we will drive back to Pokhara.

Along with that, in this trek, you will treat yourself with the most beautiful sceneries. And obviously one of the major attractions of this trek. After the Tadapani trekking you will be visiting Ghandruk village. The little and naturally beautiful village offers you cultural as well as the amazing scenic beauties. Best Travel Time: February to Mid June, September – November are the best seasons. Dec & January are Winter and cold can be snow on the trail, July & August are rainy time; we can do the trek, but visibility can be reduced due to rain.

Trip Snippets: 03 days, 2 nights Lodges, three meals a day ( breakfast, lunch, and dinner during the trek) are included

Departure Dates: We can offer this trek on any dates during the months Feb, March, April, May, June, Sept, Oct, November, and December for a group of 2 to 16 people.

Equipment rental: We advise you to bring all of your clothing and gear from home, however in Kathmandu there are many shops to buy and rent trek related equipment.

Your trek Backpack/duffle bag: Our porters will carry your baggage on the trek, the maximum weight per trekkers is 15 kg, including your sleeping bag, and down jacket; other items not required on a trek can be stored in our office or your hotel in Kathmandu or Pokhara.

Detailed Itinerary of Ghorepani Trek

The first day trek start at Nayapul after 1 and half hour driving by private vehicle from Pokhara. After 20 minutes short walk along the banks of the Modi Khola, we reach Birethanti (1015m). After Birethanti, we walk along the terraced fields beneath the splendid panorama of awe-inspiring glaciated Himalayan mountain ranges. The trail continues following the north bank of the Bhurungdi Khola through villages and climbs steadily up the side of the valley to Hille (1495m). After lunch cross the Modi Khola River via a suspension bridge to the village of Tikhedhunga.

We begin our journey with a steep climb to large Magar village at Ulleri (2070m) after crossed bridge. You will walk whole day through dense forest of Rhododendron, oak trees and bamboo grooves enjoying the chipping birds and butterflies. Then we trek towards Nangethanti (2460m), after an hour walk we arrive at Ghorepani. We stop at the higher part of the Ghorepani village. The place provides majestic views of Dhaulagiri I (8167m), Tukuche Peak, Nilgiri, Annapurna South, Annapurna I (8091m), Hiunchuli and Tarke Kang and other mountains.

We will hike about 45 minutes to Poon Hill (3210m) early in the morning. Poon Hill is a viewpoint from where we will be able to enjoy wonderful high Himalaya’s giants Dhaulagiri (8,167m), Annapurna (8,091m), Machhapuchhare, Nilgiri, Hiunchuli, South Annapurna, etc. along with a network of other peaks. Today we descend to Nayapul from the same route with enjoying the beautiful rivers, green hills, forests, glittering mountains, and so on. We will drop you to your hotel.

  • Government license holder experienced, trekking guide (trained in Wilderness First Aid& altitude sickness) and porters (1 porter for between 2 trekkers basis) with their food, accommodation, salary, equipment, and accidental insurance, clothing, and medicine.
