And it two days of acclimatization is a must for this trekking. Before starting your trek, you must take a flight from Kathmandu to Lukla. And your trail ends when you reach the mountain village.

 Detail Itinerary of Kathmandu to Everest Base Camp

Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu
Altitude: 1345m/4412ft
You will be meted and greeted by the office representative at the TIA (Tribhuvan International Airport). Then they will take you to the deluxe hotel in Kathmandu. After having some refreshments and snacks, you can visit around the bustling city Kathmandu. Seeing a vibrant market, bustling streets, and visiting colorful temples will be your first task while you are in Kathmandu. In the evening, after returning from your leisurely walk then you will get orientation class about the trek itinerary by our expert’s guide.

Day 2: Flight to Lukla–Trek to Phakding
Altitude: 2840m/9320 ft (Lukla) and 2610m/8560 ft (Phakding)
Trekking Duration: Approximately 3.5 hours
This is the second day of the trip from when your actual Kathmandu to Everest Base Camp tour starts. You will have a short scenic flight from Kathmandu to Lukla at around 10:00 am. You can enjoy your scenic mountain flight to Lukla. After you land to the airport, then your trekking begins to Phakding. Along with the way to Phakding, you will see blooming rhododendrons, alpine forests, and various other rare trees.

Day 3: Trek to Namche Bazaar
Altitude: 3440m/11290 ft
Trekking hours: approx. 6 hours
Today you will get to visit the vibrant and beautiful Bazaar called Namche Bazaar. Namche Bazaar is also called the Gateway to Mt.Everest. Trek to Namche Bazaar starts
The biggest specialties of this place are, it is called as the main trading center of the Khumbu region. You can find all kinds of stuff for trekking here.

It will be the biggest opportunity to explore small luxuries in Namche Bazaar. Trek to Namche Bazaar starts walking ascending from Phakding. Along the trail, you can see various beautiful creatures such as Pine forests in the banks of the Dudh Koshi river. Then the trail will take you to cross the Hillary Suspension Bridge, which is named after Sir Edmund Hillary. From there you can go to Sagarmatha National Park. There you can see various rare wild species, for instance, Thur, Red Pand, Himalayan Bear and many more. You can have a pleasurable walk while enjoying the beautiful landscapes.

Day 4: Acclimatization day trip to Namche Bazaar.
Altitude: 3440m/11290 ft
Trekking hours: Approx. 6 hours
On the fourth day of the trekking, you will have a rest day at Namche Bazaar. Visiting a Khumjung village is the major highlight of this day. This village is considered best for getting insights of the high altitude life of the Himalaya people. This day gives you the chance to adjust your body to the high altitude. The Khumjung village is 300 meters far from Namche Bazaar so you can reach there easily. You can also visit Buddhist Monastery there.

Day 5: Trek to Tengboche
Altitude: 3860m/12660ft
Trekking Duration: Approximately 5 hours
The fifth day of the trek will lead you to Tengboche. Visiting Tengboche Monastery is the major highlight of this day. From Namche Bazaar, you will walk to the stone steps and reach to Mongla Pass that lies at an altitude of 3975 m.
You can have a mesmerizing view of the various magical mountains here such as Mt. AmaDablam, Mt Thamserku, and Mt. Khumbila. These mountains are the sacred mountains of the Sherpa’s Patron god of the Khumbu region. People visit this mountain and receive blessings.

Day 6: Trek to Dingboche
Altitude: 4360m/14300ft
Trekking hours: Approximately 5 hours
Highlights: Soaring mountain views of Taboche, Mt. Nuptse, Mt. Cholatse and many other peaks
This day you will continue your trek through lush alpine forests. Along the trail, you will encounter several small villages. Afterward, you will pass along the KhumbilaKhola valley and ascends towards the ridgeline. You will feel heaven in the surrounding landscapes. From there, you can have a breathtaking view of the snow-capped mountains such as Mt. Nuptse, Mt. Lhotse, Mt. Taboche and many more. After reaching Dingboche you will find the different landscapes. Low shrub and a desert will be encountered there and amazing landscapes to enjoy.

Day 7: Acclimatization day trip to Dingboche.

Accommodation: Basic Teahouse
The seventh day of the trek includes the acclimatization day at Dingboche. This will be your second acclimatization of the whole trek. Today, you will trek up to the steep mountain. Enjoy the quiet, steep and rocky trail. However, the surrounding vistas will be worth watching. Amazing views of the Mt. AmaDablam will surely melt your heart. You can also see the prayer flags from the viewpoint. You can also climb to top to the hills for even better views.
Retracing back to Dingboche will be your next task and spend the night at the teahouse at Dingboche.

Day 8: Trek to Lobuche
Altitude: 4940m/16207 ft
Trekking hours: Approximately 5 hours
Today counts the eighth day of the trekking journey. This day you will head towards Lobuche from Dingboche. The trail you pass today will be steep terminal in the Khumbu region.
Climbing uphill will be a little difficult, however, the jaw-dropping mountain views will make forget you’re all tiredness and keep motivates along the way. The top of the hill reminders of the various climbers who lost their lives while climbing Mt.Everest.
After walking some hours you will find a small cluster of lodges. Spend your night at one of the lodges.

Day 9: Trek to Gorakshep-Everest Base Camp
Altitude: Gorakshep (5170m/16961 ft)

Altitude: Everest Base Camp (5300m/17400 ft)
Trekking hours: Approximately 6 hours
The 9th day of the trekking is the most awaiting day of the whole trekking journey. You will head towards Gorakshep today and view beautiful Khumbu Glacier. The trail will be a bit rough today, as it contains large rock, up and down. Then moving onward to Everest Base Camp. The view around the base camp will satisfy your travel hunger. Then descend to along the Khumbu Glacier.

Day 10: Hike to Kala Pattar
Altitude: Periche (4270m/14070 ft)

Altitude: Kala Pattar (5545m/18192 ft)
Trekking hours: Approximately 7 hours
The day hiking from Gorakshep will lead you to Kala Patthar. The Mt. Everest can be seen closer from your heart when you reach at the vantage point of Kala Patthar. Mt. Lotse will be another best part to view at. Kala Patthar is considered as the best viewpoint for having spectacular mountains views.

 Day 11: Trek to Namche Bazaar
This day will be the descending day of the from Pheriche. You will walk downhills. After Crossing the suspension bridges, the trail will lead you to Namche Bazaar. You can find lots of lodges, cafes, and restaurants there.
Spend the night at Namche Bazaar.

Day 12: Namche to Lukla
The retracing continues from Namche Bazaar to Lukla. Passing the Dudh Koshi river you will reach Phakding. Then after having some rest you will head towards Lukla.

Day 13: Fly back to Kathmandu and Final Departure

This is the final day of the trekking to EBC. Today you will return back to Kathmandu by short flight from Lukla. Enjoy the fascinating views of the mountains on your return.

After arriving Kathmandu, you can roam around some famous streets of Kathmandu to buy gifts for your close ones. Next day you will be dropped off to the international airport for final departure.
