Mohare danda trek  itself is situated along the world’s deepest gorge at an elevation of 3300m, offering the trekkers the incredible panoramic views of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges, respectively. From this trek, anyone can enjoy the closest view of the sunrise and sunset, which definitely will be an enjoyable experience to grab. This trek is the exact opposite of Poon Hill Trek, as there are fewer crowds comparatively to Poon Hill.

Best Time to visit Mohare Danda Trek:

Spring season (March, April, and May) and autumn season (Sept, Oct, Nov) is the best time of the year for trekking in Nepal. These times of year have moderate and comfortable temperatures, clear skies with no clouds, and pretty low chances of rain. Photography will surely be splendid this season.

However, each month of the year portrays a peculiar Landscape and pleasant environment. Spring undoubtedly is Nepal’s first peak season for heading towards trek and known to be attracting more number of tourists. The Mohare Danda trail passes through the laps of hills, mountains, forests, rivers, and much more. Spring season will expose you to the variety of Green vegetation as it is known as ‘Blooming Season.’ February to April is the time where the forest is decorated with colorful rhododendron and depicts an eye-catching view to the visitor. This time can be marked as Rhododendron trekking.

Not only is the natural beauty during the trek another reason for the successful trek is visiting culturally rich Magar and Gurung communities and the rural lifestyle as they offer domestic accommodation and services with full responsibility. Itinerary Details:

Day 01: Kathmandu Airport Arrival – (1,350m/4,428ft)

You will be warmly welcomed and greeted by our office representative, after your arrival at Tribhuwan International Airport, and you are transferred to the hotel directly.  Afterward getting some fresh air and refreshments, our expert trek leader will give you brief information about Mohare Danda Trek and plan to execute the Trek. You can then go for a short around the street to get familiar with the neighborhood and know their lifestyle, have supper and go to bed. The free walk-in evening is ending with an attractive dinner. Overnight at the hotel that includes Breakfast.

 Day 02: Drive to Pokhara

Early in the morning, after having breakfast and fresh up, we will head for the Trek Journey. We leave our hotel and will drive to Pokhara via Prithvi national highway, enjoying the scenic beauty on the way.

We can apt for flight as well as drive based on our comfort; the trip will take approx. 35 mins to reach Pokhara from Kathmandu while driving could take approx 6/7 hrs to reach there. Pokhara is one of the most beautiful cities and the second-largest tourist destination in Nepal. It is famous as the “City of Lakes.” Pokhara is famous for sightseeing and mountain views. Phewa Lake, Begnas Lake, and Rupa Lake are some of the major attractions.

Day 03: Full Day in Pokhara

Guided full-day tour at David’s Fall (also known as Devin’s and Devi’s) is a lovely waterfall lying about two km south-west of the Pokhara airport on the Siddhartha Highway, Gupteshwor Mahadev(holds particular religious importance especially to the local people) and Tibetans refugee camp. Overnight at the  Hotel

Day 04: Drive to Galeshwor and trek to Bans Kharka- 3 hrs walk

After breakfast, we take approx. Four hours drive to Galeshwor lying at the bank of Kali Gandaki river, and After the arduous journey, we will stop by for 1 hr lunch break. After lunch, we begin our hike to Bans Kharka, which takes about 3 hours. We will then hike by crossing the suspension bridge over the deepest gorge “Kali Gandaki River” through a green forest.

Day 05: Trek to Naangi – 7 hrs walk

The trek Day 5 begins with a hot breakfast following the trek to Naangi. You ought to wake up at an earliest to see splendid Mt.Dhaulagiri before the haze later obscured her. Then we will climb along the edge of a cliff and gazing through the bunch of patchy rhododendron & birch forest, which takes around 2.5hrs trip. After 1hr lunch break, it was another hard 3 hrs to the large village of Nangi (2300m). We will get the chance to have a glance at the beautiful villages, dazzling mountains, and impressive landscapes.

Stay a night at eco community lodge.

 Day 06: Trek to Mohare Danda – 7 hrs walk

On day 6, never miss a chance to see the fabulous sunrise view of Dhaulagiri, Nilgiri & Annapurna. Here the trails go along the beautiful forests of Oak and Rhododendrons with magnificent views of mountains such as Mt. Fishtail, south Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, Tukche, and many more. After having lunch at the skeletal hut, we head 2 hrs walk towards Mohare Danda (3300m), along the way of stunning oaks and rhododendrons forest.

In the evening, we observe a glorious sunset view from Mohare hill station and then overnight at eco community management lodge.

Day 07: Trek to Deaurali – 5 hrs walk

An easy day with the earliest wake up at 5 A.M, greeted by sparkling crystal clear mountain view mount such as Fishtail, Dhaulagiri I, Dhaulagiri II, Tukche, South Annapurna, Nilgiri, and others. After having a short breakfast breaks, our trip march towards Deurali. An easy and enjoyable 5 hrs trek leads to Deaurali.

Day 08: Trek to Ghandruk village – 5 hrs walk

From Deaurali the trail moves across a group of flatlands, forest with varieties of vegetation perfect for capturing, cultivated lands and a suspension bridge over Khumbu Khola,  And after the 5hrs walk struggle we will arrive at the best scenic & the beautiful village of Ghandruk, that is worthy of 5 hrs walk.

The highest point in this serene village offers breathtaking views of nearly half-dozens of snow-capped mountains such as Annapurna South, Gangapurna, Annapurna III, Machhapuchhare and Hiunchuli.

A pristine village offers the hospitality environment with well-served teahouse and hotels considering the comfort of visitors. Camping at the terrace adds adventures to give you vibrant feelings.

Overnight at the sweet and peaceful village of Gandruk.

Day 09: Trek to Nayapul and drive to Pokhara hotel – 4 hrs walk

On the last day of this trek, we head to Nayapul by hiking 5 hrs walk in the trail paved by stones. On the way, we will see beautiful villages and mesmerizing terrace farmings.

After an hour’s walk from Birethanti, we reach to Nayapul. From there, we will grab a comfortable means of transportation and head towards Pokhara.

Day 10: Drive back to Kathmandu

A time to wave good-bye to our porters and guide by accumulating lots of glorious moments to share.

Drive from Pokhara following Damauli, Dumre, Mugling, and Kurintar and finally reach to Kathmandu (Approx 6 hrs drive).

 Day 11: Departure Day

Full day sightseeing of heritages of Kathmandu city Pashupatinath Temple-the holiest Hindu Temple on the bank of sacred Bagmati River, Boudhanath Stupa-the most prominent Buddhist Stupa architecture in the world!

And Swayambhunath Stupa-the 2000 years old legendary stupa on the hillock also nick-named as monkey temple.

Weather in Mohare Danda Trek:

The weather in the Mountainous areas is unpredictable. You need to be well prepared before heading towards trek. If you wish to trek during winter, then you must be equipped with warm clothes, and if you want to travel during monsoon season, you must carry waterproofs clothes. Keep in mind that the trek will be much challenging during this season as the road will be particularly muddy and slippery, causing hard to step ahead.

You need to be aware of Blood–shocking Leech during monsoon season as this season is marked as Leech Season, always seeking uncovered ankles.

This week-long trek provides a fantastic view of Dhaulagiri, Annapurna and, many more mountain ranges. Anyone who holds the ability of 6/7 hrs walk can easily enjoy this trip with no difficulty.
