 Weather in Poon Hill Elevation

Day to Day Itinerary of Poon Hill trek

Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu
You will start your journey from Kathmandu. The team above the Himalayan will provide you the service of picking up you from the airport. After arriving in the Kathmandu, you can rest for a while and you can also roam around Kathmandu valley and visit some of the famous places of Nepal like Pashupatinath and Syambhunath. Day 2: Drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara
Pokhara is the second biggest city in Nepal after Kathmandu. You will be traveling to Pokhara from Kathmandu on the second day. As Pokhara is known as the Switzerland of Nepal, you will enjoy the trip very much. It takes about 7 – 8 hours to reach Pokhara on a local bus/van. A journey of 1 hour will be enough if you wish to take the flight as a mode of transportation.
But we suggest you take the bus because you can enjoy the incredible ride along the way. You can also visit some of the best places in Nepal like David fall, Phewa lake, Gupteshowr cave, Sarangkot, World peace pagoda temple, etc. You will be staying today at one of the hotels in Pokhara.

Day 3: Trek from Pokhara to Tikhedhunga
Your third day of the trek starts from the early morning drive from Pokhara to Nayapul. It takes about an hour to reach Nayapul from Pokhara. You will also find one village across Nayapul called Berathanti, where you will find your first checkpoint where you will have to shoe your IDs, passport, and the permit of the trek. After the inspection, you will have to walk uphill, and the road is quite dirty and rough. After about 2 hours of walk, you will reach up on the hill. After successful climbing of the mountain, you can have stunning views of Mt. Annapurna south (7219 m), Huinchuli (6441 m). It will take you approximately 4/5 hours to reach to Ulleri village from Nayapul.

Day 4 – Tikhedunga to Ghorepani
Total hiking hours – about 7-8 hours
On the fourth day of the trek, your trip starts in the early morning at around 6 am. This day your hike would be a little challenging as compared to previous days hike. After walking a continuous 4 hours, you would reach the top of the hill. There you would catch a glimpse of the snowcapped Annapurna peaks. The views would be heart-melting. After that, 3 hours of the continuous walk would take you to cold Ghorepani village.
You will see the spectacular snow-capped mountains such as Dhaulagiri (8167M,) Manaslu (8163m,) and Annapurna I (8091m) and others Himalayas from the vantage point of the hill.

Day 5: Ghorepani to Pokhara and Kathmandu
This is the last day of your trek. This day you would retrace your trekking journey from Ghorepani to Pokhara. On the way back you can enjoy the natural landscapes, varieties of flora and fauna, etc. If you have an extra day, you can stay in Pokhara and do a day hiking to the beautiful places around it. From Pokhara, grab a flight to Kathmandu. Reaching to Kathmandu would conclude your Poon Hill trek journey.
