Yala peak is located on the north of Kathmandu in Langtang, near the border of Tibet at the elevation of 5732 meters. Nepal mountaineering association regarded it as the Trekking Peak. The most simple and non-technical climbing makes it easy and suitable for anyone with trekking experience, but the trekker should have sound physical status. Yala peak climbing trip offers the best thrill of adventure peak climbing in the Langtang region beyond merely hiking. Yala Peak is a fantastic mountaineering trip for beginners, as it is Nepal’s more natural trekking peaks. Yala peak soars right next to Tibet border and an outstanding view of Mt. Shishapangma (8046 m) Langtang Lirung (7246 m), Gang Chempo (6388 m) and Dorje Lakpa.
Drive from Kathmandu to Syabru Bensi takes you to the journey of Langtang Gosainkunda Helambu trail. Yala Peak climbing allows you to get right in among the Himalayan peaks and to get off-the-beaten-track, walking through some fascinatingly remote and relatively unpopulated areas. The trek enables you to explore through the Langtang National Park home of the Tibetan looking people, the Tamangs. Ascending through pastures arrives at meadows of Kyanjin Gompa. It would be a great pleasure to feel the conquering of the Yala peak. Once again, the views from the summit are spectacular, a fitting climax to a magnificent climb.
We descend from the upper Langtang Valley as far as Syabru before following a different trail, past Sing Gompa, to the sacred lakes of Gosainkunda. There are about a dozen lakes around Gosainkunda Basin, the main three being Saraswatikunda, Bhairabkunda, and Gosainkunda. Crossing Laurebina La, Phedi, and Tharepati, the trail leads to the Helambu path. Helambu valley is very famous for its natural beauty and pleasant climate with superb views of magnificent snow-covered mountains.
It lacks the views of mountains as Langtang and Gosainkunda but offers a close look at the village life and is a beautiful winter or cultural trek. We descend steeply through deeply eroded chasms towards the Tamang settlement of Mulkharka (1800m) and to Sundarijal. The designation of Yala Peak climbing is for those wanting easy peak climbing or is without any previous climbing experience.
