Most Asked Questions by Travellers

We have two seasons for the Everest Base Camp luxury trek. The autumn (September, October & November) and spring (March, April & May). These two seasons are good when the weather and the views are pleasant.

The monsoon rains make the Everest base camp luxury trek difficult. Monsoon views are unclear, with a clear sky, flowers blooming, and good trail conditions.

The winter months, Dec, Jan, and Feb, are also good but very cold. Dec is Feb, better than Jan; it is only more complex and sometimes foggy weather. The summer ( June, July, and August) is the rainy season so that visibility can be lower.

At this time, rain will be an issue. Summer June is considered okay, as rain generally occurs from the last week of June. The benefit of doing the Everest base camp luxury trek in the off-season is that there are few tourists. It is the best time to find the best rooms in the lodge as there are very few trekkers.

The Everest base camp luxury trek is moderate to strenuous. Some previous small hiking and trekking experience is a plus point for the trip. Yet, people with no prior trekking experience can also do the trek.

People in good physical condition can trek for 5 to 6 hours daily. It would help if you had walked the Rocky Trail before going on the Everest base camp luxury trek. We tailor-made the trip itinerary depending on people’s fitness levels.

The Everest base camp luxury trek is a moderate to Strenuous hike. It is best and suitable for fit people. The tours involve more walking up and down and climbing to higher altitudes.

One should often work rough trails, rocks, and boulders for at least 5-6 hours daily. You must cross 4500m above high altitude passes; the treks will reach 5550 m at Kalapathar. Physically fit people can go trekking.

You can train yourself for this luxury Everest base camp trek. We have a 78-year-old man who recently did the tour so the trek is for everyone.

Trekking with solo women or joining a group is never a problem. We have operated an Everest base camp luxury trek for many single female traversals. Our guide and porters are honest, trustworthy, and reliable.

We chose the best guide for your trips, so you will not have any problems trekking with your guide. During the trail, you will also meet many like-minded travelers. Read more about how we run tours for single female travelers here

You can use chlorine tablets and drink the same water as the locals. Bottled water is also available throughout the Everest base camp luxury trek.

However, bottled water is expensive and not suitable for the environment. You can also get boiled or hot water in the guest house. The best idea is to get water purification tablets and regular water in your water bottle.

We don’t think you are too old for the trek. Recently, we have arranged the Everest base camp luxury trek for 78-year-old men and 76-year-old Women.

They did it very well, taking two days more time. Many trekkers are older than 60 and walk much better than young trekkers. And remember, the most senior lady to climb Everest was 73 when she did it. The most aged man to climb Everest was 76 years old and from Nepal.

No, the base camp is too near to give you a view of Mount Everest. But you can see the top of Everest from the way while walking to the base camp.

The best views for our Everest base camp luxury trek are from Kala Patthar. The sun rises over Everest, so the evening is the best light over the peak. But in the evenings, clouds will often rule, and the views are not great. Still, you can try to get a sunset view from Kala Patthar.

We returned from Nepal after our 15-day luxury Everest base camp trek. This 12-day trek to Everest base camp and three days in Kathmandu were fantastic.

Above The Himalayas, trekking was very cooperative and helpful. They arranged the trek. They take care of Everything for the tour.

We chose the luxury lodge for food and accommodation during the trek. The accommodation till Namche was comfortable; we got the best one.

We recommend them to all our fellow travelers.

Our Everest base camp luxury trek was the most memorable one. The team at Above the Himalayas did everything possible to make it the best experience. When visiting Kathmandu and the surrounding area, the tour guide was friendly and knowledgeable.

The hotel was super, and most of all, we had a great trekking experience. Thanks to our experienced guide and our friendly porter. We do not hesitate to recommend this company.

They are best for trekking in the Himalayas and visiting Nepal. They are well experienced, and the price was very reasonable for what we got.

I went on a trek through this company for my Everest base camp luxury trek. I was so happy with my experience! Puru was so quick to respond to our original inquiry.

Unlike all the other companies, my dad and I looked at, and were very responsive. All our many emails are full of questions from worried fathers and solo travelers.

My guide, Kamal, made me so comfortable. He made sure my accommodations exceeded expectations, and they did.

I will go back to Nepal and use Above the Himalayas again.

Puru answered our 1,000 emails and adjusted our itinerary. He also organized so much for us when we made particular plans. We enjoy the program through the Everest base camp luxury trek with the high-end lodge.

Our guide, porter, hotel, flights, and everything for the trip. Afterward, we went on a tour of Bhutan, where you will get seamless airport pickups and drop-offs.

They provide us with comfortable accommodations. What more could you ask for? The Everest base camp luxury trek is our best trek so far.

Everest Base Camp Luxury best trekking holiday

I trekked with my father to the Everest Base Camp luxury trek at the beginning of Autumn Above the Himalayas. Puru could not have been more helpful before and during our time in Nepal.

He responded to all emails and was there to help us with anything we needed during our time in Kathmandu. The hotel he set us up in was comfortable and clean. I loved everything about our trek.

I couldn’t recommend enough our guide, the porter, or the Sherpa people. Our guide spoke English and knew so much about the trail. By the end of our trip, we were such a good team.

The tea houses were lovely, and the food was yummy! I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. I would love to do it again in a heartbeat!

We had great hikes, and the accommodations were excellent and clean. I felt comfortable with the guides; they and the porters were helpful and part of our group. I will never forget my time in Nepal.

I plan to visit again and will use Above the Himalayan Trekking Company.

Puru put together an excellent itinerary for us, and we had a fantastic time during the Everest base camp luxury trek. We booked our tour a few months in advance, and Puru was very responsive and helpful with our trip research.

Above the Himalayas, we picked up from the airport, assisted us with our supplies/gear rentals & had us thoroughly prepared to hit the mountains! Our 15-day Everest Base Camp Trek was spectacular.

They supplied us with a good guide and porter who were very kind, helpful, and accommodating.

Highly recommended

Unique lifetime experience of Everest base camp luxury trek in a breathtaking environment.
Everything was well organized, and Mr. Puru was excellent and on top of the task for everything.

A great, experienced mountain guide, Mr.Suresh, guided us. And our big special thanks and namaste to our porters. We couldn’t do it without them since they carried our heaviest load.

We got their support along the way, making it safe and sound to Base camp. We can recommend them to all trekkers.

Everest base camp luxury trek and much more
Star Star Star Star Star

“Finally, I fulfilled my dreams and visited the Himalayas. Everest Base Camp Luxury Trek was a logical choice. In November, a group of nine Croatian hikers organized the event.

Mr. Puru from Above the Himalayan Trekking was on top of the task. Nothing was impossible to organize, and everything was going so well. It was evident that Mr. Puru had a lot of influence and experience in this business.

During the 15-day Trek, they are joined by another experienced individual and his team. Our mountain guide, Mr. Suresh Adhikari, ensured everyone was well-acclimatized and safe.

In this group of nine, we all achieved our goals, and nobody was altitude-sick. Besides reaching EBC, we climbed two peaks above 5000 meters and visited many local attractions (museums, villages, monuments, historical and spiritual signs, etc.).

Thank you all for this once-in-a-lifetime experience. We recommend the Everest base camp luxury trek to everyone.”

I have to give Mr. Puru 100% credit, as the owner & operator of this tourism business, for arranging a safe, comfortable, enjoyable, and unforgettable Everest base camp luxury trek.

I would recommend his company to any overseas tourist and trekker because Mr Puru is a reputable professional who offers the best value for money services.

He also can be trusted to flexibly deliver emergency helicopter evacuations, hospital admissions, capable & friendly guides, best porters, and suitable accommodation – all at reasonable prices.

Mr. Puru has access to a vast network of resources, which enables him to adapt to changes in trek plans, exchange foreign currencies at favorable rates, and arrange local tours without any difficulties.

We had no complaints and only benefitted from Mr Puru’s and his team’s high service standards. Thank you, and congratulations, Mr Puru.
