All our trekking and peak climbing itineraries have a number of acclimatization days. You will get an extra day’s rest at a lower elevation to prepare your body for a walk-up in the higher elevation.

Altitude Sickness usually occurs because of the lack of oxygen in the atmosphere at high altitudes. Our body is not used to walking at high altitudes and it requires a lot of time to adapt to thin air in the mountains. You can’t stop the AMS but you can prevent it if you are following some tips.

Keep your body hydrated. Drink at least 4 liters of water daily.
During the period of climbing Give up smoking, alcohol, and caffeine.
Go slow and take enough time to acclimatize your body to the increase in altitude.
Don’t skip the acclimatization day. you can also use Diamox to reduce the symptoms of altitude sickness.
