We will provide an alternative trip for restrictions, landslides, road blockages, floods, political unrest, or flight cancellations. If you don’t have the interest to make an alternative trip, we will decide to cancel the trek on behalf of the client, and we cannot refund any amount of the cash.

Flight delay:

Flights by plane and helicopter are prone to cancellations and delays due to notorious weather in remote areas and sometimes operational complications. This could happen, in particular, during a trip to the Everest region, Lukla flight, Annapurna region, Jomsom flight, Dolpa, Simikot, and Jumla part, etc.

(Most of the Time Mountain flights are delayed without us knowing. The trip is usually at 6:30 am, and you must be at the airport at 6 am. But most of the time, they are delayed more than an hour; if we go late, they put the Second flight passengers on 6:30 am, so we need to be there at the flight time,  prepare for this)

When these flights are considered in the itinerary, it is also recommended that extra money be carried to buy food and accommodations in case of delays. Above The Himalaya Trekking will not be responsible for these additional expenses or costs arising from lost connections, so plan accordingly.

We trekked in the remote areas described above, especially during the off-season. We highly advise you to reserve extra days to prepare for some delays and avoid frustrating consequences. If the flight gets canceled for the trek, you must meet your accommodation food costs yourself.

Note: Travel Insurance is highly recommended. In case of flight cancellation, if you are short of time and cannot catch your scheduled flight back to Kathmandu, trekking above the Himalayas can charter a helicopter for you. However, it would help if you bore the cost, which can later be claimed through the insurance company.
