Everest Base Camp Trek 5 days return by helicopter Route

The route from Tengboche to Dingboche is tricky. But it goes through stunning pine and rhododendron forests. Traveling from March to May will allow you to see the gorgeous rhododendron. The rhododendron blooms cover the trees and color the woodland.

Your tour will next take you to the Everest Base Camp trek after you finish exploring Gorakshep. Kalapatthar, situated at 5545m, would be the destination the following day. It is the world’s best and most widely recognized viewpoint. It provides fantastic views of Mount Everest and other renowned peaks.

You won’t have to hike the entire distance again after visiting Kalapatthar. You will return to Lukla by helicopter. Kala Patthar means ‘black rock’ in English. It stands at an impressive 5,500 m above sea level, the highest altitude reached on most of our Everest trekking routes. It lies south of the Himalayan range above the Gorak Shep. It overlooks the Khumbu Glacier and Everest Base Camp, giving an incredible viewpoint of Everest itself. Although the trek to the top, especially before sunrise, is strenuous on the body and mind, it was one of the highlights of my trip to Nepal.

Most of the trekkers on the route of Everest base camp trek for five days, so don’t miss being here. It takes about 2-2.5 hours to reach the top of Kala Patthar from Gorak Shep. If you want the best sunrise view, get there before sunrise.
