Route Map & Altitude Chart

The following are some major factors that will help you smooth your trip to Kailash Mansarovar Yatra From Kathmandu

Be Respectful of Different Culture And Language

When you are kind to the people whose country you are visiting, you will be respected and welcomed accordingly. In total, you will be visiting three countries in a single trip. You need to be respectful of the languages and traditions of the locals.

It would be best for travelers to learn a few words in the local languages if they want to interact with the locals with friendly air and ease. You can simply follow the rules and regulations set by the locals as a way of showing them and their places good regards too.

Always Carry Important Documents

Traveling with a reputed agency does not always spare you from document necessities. You need to keep your documents including visa, permits, etc. with you at all times. Carrying these documents in your backpack every time you are out and about will make your trip hassle-free.

Keep Your Body And Mind Ready

Even though the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra from Kathmandu is suitable for almost every traveler, you need to prepare both your body and mind for the journey. The trip is not going to be easy if you are nervous along the way or are not confident in yourself.

Being physically fit is a requisite for all travelers. You can train yourself for the journey beforehand by jogging, going to the gym regularly, and strength training. Further, you can also go on short hikes to locations close to you. When you do this, you will be confident about your bodily strength.

Always Carry A Water Bottle And Water Purifier

Travelers need to carry a water bottle that carries at least 1.5 liters of water with them. Drinking water when you are traveling to a location like Mount Kailash is very important because you may get thirsty along the way. Water keeps you energetic and won’t stop you from suffering from dehydration or nausea during your travel.

You should not rely on water that comes from just about any source when you are traveling. Because you will be traveling in rural locations, there won’t be adequate safe water facilities. You need to carry a water purifier tablet every time you’re headed out of your accommodation.

Stay Positive

When you are traveling in a group, it is necessary to stay as positive as you can be. Travelers can often find themselves in unnecessary scuffles during stressed hours along the journey. To avoid this, make sure to stay as positive as you can with every person you meet. The more you remain positive, the better your  Kailash Mansarovar Yatra from Kathmandu journey is going to be.

Carry Only What You Need

Travelers need to carry only what they will need. When they pack more than necessary or less than necessary, then they will have a hard time adjusting to their travel needs. Sometimes, travelers even have to pay extra for porters when they carry more than what they need.

Carrying less than necessary means you will struggle to borrow important gear from other travelers and won’t be able to buy stuff immediately in rural areas. You need to make a list of all the things you need before you begin your trip and pack accordingly.

Get Checked By A Physician

You need to get yourself properly checked by a physician before you begin your journey, especially if you are above the age of 50 or are traveling with someone elderly. This does not mean your plans will be canceled when you are physically weaker than most other travelers.

When you know about certain conditions you may be prone to, you can take precautions and medications accordingly.

Stay Aware of Altitude Sickness

Travelers should keep in mind that they will be exceeding a good height above the sea level. Henceforth, they will be safe when they know the backdraws and causes of altitude sickness. Not every traveler suffers from altitude sickness. But, staying aware of it and taking precautions
when necessary will always be helpful.

Altitude sickness may cause delays in the trip and sometimes, you may even have to cancel the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra from Kathmandu tour entirely. To keep yourself safe, you can simply learn about it before you start your journey till you complete the trip.

Rest When Necessary

Trekkers and travelers must rest when they are tired. Opposite to what a lot of travelers may believe, resting does not cause a delay in your trip. Instead, it is going to help your body become energized and active again.

Resting properly gives your body enough time to manage its oxygen levels as well. When you don’t rest, your body is going to suffer in adverse ways. Acclimatization and rest are the two most unmissable aspects of remaining cautious during the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra from Kathmandu tour.

Dress Properly

You should not overly layer your clothes because that may cause difficulty in walking properly along the trails of Kailash Mansarovar Yatra from Kathmandu. To keep away from the cold, you can wear thin thermal wear, a fleece jacket, and a down jacket for the top and a thin thermal bottom with a trekking trouser. This will be enough.

Wearing thinner clothes than necessary will also prove to be troublesome for the travelers. You need to choose the right clothes according to the season and weather demands.

Value The Environment

You have to value each of the locations you are traveling in. From littering to making too much noise in major destinations, you need to avoid as many bad environmental practices as possible. Since Mount Kailash is a holy destination, you will get in messy trouble when you dismiss the rules and regulations of the different landmarks along the way.

Walking and being driven through the pathways in your itinerary peacefully and keeping garbage in your bag until you find a proper place for disposal is important.

Keep Travel Insurance Ready

Travelers need to stay alert and cautious for Kailash Mansarovar Yatra from Kathmandu by ensuring their travel. This gives you assurance in the long run. Your Mount Kailash Tour is going to be quite safe. But, having travel insurance ready gives you the benefit of traveling without worry.

You can take your cameras when you are going to the Mount Kailash Mansarovar yatra from Kathmandu. But, you should not carry any religious books on the premises of Mount Kailash. You can still make your purchase of such books when you are back in Kathmandu before returning to your home country.

Taking pictures without permission or in locations that do not allow photography will lead you to awful situations. You need to seek permission or simply check the premises to see whether you are allowed to use certain appliances including cameras and smartphones in certain areas.

No Food Is Allowed Inside Religious Premises

Travelers are not allowed to bring packaged food or any edibles inside religious premises. It is better to rely on instant food that you can eat immediately than to carry snacks in your bag. You will have to deal with lots of hassle with the authorities if they catch you with food in your bags.

The rules are stricter in China. Make sure to keep your bags limited to the essentials that are not perishable.

Keep Religious Views Respectful

Travelers should stay neutral with their views. There are more than just Hindus who come as pilgrims to Mount Kailash. You will meet companions who follow Buddhism, Jainism, and Bon. Trekkers are likely to be from many other religious backgrounds as well.

You Cannot Climb Mount Kailash.

There has been no official record of anyone having climbed Mount Kailash. The mountain is said to be the holy abode of Lord Shiva and hence every visitor to this date has been prohibited from crossing beyond a certain distance of the mountain area.

Causing a scene when you are not able to climb the mountain or requesting impossible favors related to the same is strictly prohibited. We guarantee that you will have the best scenery even when you are not climbing the mountain entirely.

No Solo Travel
