Day 01: Fly to Paro, Transfer to Thimpu overnight at a luxury hotel

Today, we take a flight to Paro. We fly with the stunning scenic flight of the Himalayas to start Luxury travel to Bhutan. The views include Everest, Bhutanese foothills, and the Paro Airport of Bhutan landscapes.

02

Day 02: Sightseeing tour of Thimpu

After breakfast, Our luxury travel to Bhutan starts with a Thimpu visit. Visit Trashichhoedzong, the beautiful medieval fortress/monastery. It houses most of the Government’s office and King’s Throne room. Also, see the summer residence of Je Khenpo, the Chief Abbot. You get to visit the National Library of Bhutan.

It has lots of ancient Buddhist texts and manuscripts. From here, we drive to the famous Arts & Crafts School. It is renowned for traditional thangka paintings. After lunch, visit Handicrafts Emporium. It displays a wide assortment of beautifully handwoven and crafted products.

Then, drive to Memorial Chorten, the stupa built in memory of Bhutan’s Third King. Locals regard it as the Father of modern Bhutan. The paintings and statues give a brief introduction to Buddhism. It takes deep insight into Buddhist philosophy. Overnight at the hotel in Thimphu.

03

Day 03: Thimphu/ Punakha/Wangdue

After breakfast, we start our Luxury travel to Bhutan tour with a drive to Punakha. We get a short stop at Dochula Pass (3,080m). We will stop our vehicle here. You can take in the view. Admire the Chorten, mani wall, and prayer flags that decorate the highest point on the road.

On a clear weather day, we can see the best views of Mount Managing (7,158m), Tsendagang (6,960m), and Terigang (7,060m ). We can also view Jejegangphugang (7,158 m ), Kangphugang (7,170 m ), and Zongphugang (7, 060 m ). We know a table mountain that dominates the isolated region of Lunana.

We finally reached Gangkar plenum, the highest peak in Bhutan, at 7,497m. Later, we will visit Punakha Dzong. Shabdrung Ngawang Namgyal built it at the junction of the Pho Chhu and Mo Chhu rivers in 1637. It serves as the religious and administrative center of the region.

It has played an important role in Bhutan’s history. Four catastrophic fires and an earthquake damaged it. The people there have fully restored it. From here, we drive to continue to Wangduephodrang. We will visit Dzong and the local market. This place is famous for its bamboo products, slate, and stone carvings.

04

Day 04: Punakha - Paro

Today, our Luxury travel to Bhutan tour will return to Paro with a beautiful drive. On our route back, We will visit Simtokha Dzong, the oldest fortress of the Kingdom, built-in 1627. It now houses the School for Religious Studies.

Afternoon in Paro visits Ta Dzong, the National Museum of the Kingdom. The country’s National Museum was originally built as Watch Tower in 1967. It has a fascinating collection of art, artifacts, and thangka paintings. It also has Bhutan’s exquisite postage stamps.

Afterward, walk down a hillside trail to visit Rinpung Dzong. It is one of Bhutan’s first spiritual and temporal rulers. The Dzong houses are the monastic body of Paro, the office of the Dzongda (district administrative head), and Thompson (judge) of the Paro district. Overnight at the hotel in Paro.

05

Day 05: Paro tour and hiking to Tiger's nest Monastery.

After breakfast, our luxury travel to Bhutan tour drove north of Paro Valley. We head to the ruins of Drukgyel Dzong. This fort has historical value. The Bhutanese repelled several invasions by Tibetan armies from here.

We will see another traditional Bhutanese farmhouse. It offers a good insight into the lifestyle of local people. We start hiking to the Tiger’s Nest Monastery, the most famous Bhutanese monastery. When Guru Rinpoche was on the back of a tigress and meditated at this monastery, it was called “Tiger’s Nest.”

The excursion to the monastery takes about 5 hours for a round trip. While returning to Paro town, visit route Kyichu Lhakhang. It is one of the oldest and most sacred shrines of the Kingdom. Overnight at the hotel in Paro.

Day 06: Final departure, transfer to Airport.
