How Difficult Is Lhasa Mansarovar Kailash Yatra?

Lhasa Mansarovar Kailash Yatra is definitely a difficult tour. Whether you are an adventure lover or pilgrim, you find this journey quite challenging. Not only in temperature wise, this place is difficult due to many other aspects.

Being located above 4000 m, there is always thin air pressure and a high chance of snow blowing. You may have to face sudden weather changes, rain, and snow storms anytime. This makes trekking in this place absolutely risky.

The landforms contain steep land, rocky paths and continuously increasing heights. You need to walk for many hours each day. So, trekking on this tour requires good stamina and strength. You have to be strong both physically and mentally.

You may or may not have an idea, but climbing in Kailash Mountain is not allowed. Respecting the sacredness of this place, climbing or touching this mountain is prohibited. Also, some people lost their lives in the past due to high air pressure and difficulty to climb in the past.

The same thing goes for trekking as well. Covering such long and difficult landscapes continuously for some days makes this journey challenging. There is a high chance that you may fall sick or have an accident. So, safety measures should always be the first priority in the Lhasa Mansarocar Kailash yatra.

Not only that, you have to be aware of the altitude sickness also. This problem is common and good preparation is necessary to deal with this.

Overall, this yatra is difficult but not impossible. Thousands of pilgrims visit this tour every year and make the most beautiful memories of their lifetime.

On the seventh day, one of the most important days of our Lhasa Mansarovar Kailash Yatra begins. On this day, you need to make yourself ready for Lake Mansarovar. It is a holy and sacred lake for several religions.

Devotees worship this lake by doing puja and prayers nearby. They also offer some of their precious things to this place. However, it is not allowed to make this place polluted by leaving your things and other materials.

The temperature in this place is extremely cold, so make sure you do enough preparations to deal with this. Also, people touch and fill some holy water of this lake in bottles. However, you need to take care of religious beliefs while being in this lake area.

Another most popular thing in this place is doing parikramas or kora. This is a religious round trip of this lake. It takes around 2 hours in the vehicle. Some people with deep religious values do this parikrama on foot and it takes around 3-4 days.

Since we have limited time for this trip, we do this parikrama in the vehicle. You can also do prayers and bhajan in a hotel room and on the way. Likewise, you will get your breakfast, lunch, and dinner at the hotel.

Considering the sacredness of this place, you should avoid meat and beverages. Also, you are expected to respect the local lifestyle and local people in that region.
