The best time to travel Kailash Mansarovar yatra tour is from April to October. Traveling at the beginning of this season allows you to enjoy the snow outside of Lhasa without too much disruption. Towards the end, autumn foliage colors the landscapes, and harvest festivals are held in October.
Tibet rain seasons are starting from late May or June to September or October, with most of it falling in July and August. If we choose the best months to visit here they are April and May, or September and October – either side of the peak of the summer rains and the winter snow.
Winter in Tibet is very cold but it has its own charms, with snowy scenes and lower prices proving a draw for many. But in December, January, and February, the mountains and trekking routes are inaccessible, and many roads may be blocked as well.
You can still visit Lhasa in winter. Days will be dry and bright but cold – with a wind chill making it feel even chillier. Nights plummet below freezing from November to February.
Traveling to Tibet you need from Nepal are required to apply for both of China Group Tourist Visa and Tibet Visa (also named Tibet travel permit). For both travel documents, individual travelers can only get them through a local travel agency and we will arrange it for you. For the processing of China Group, Visa takes at least 3 working days, Thus we advise you to arrive in Kathmandu earlier.
While for Tibet Permit, We need to start preparing at least 20 days before you for Nepal. All you need to do is emailing the photo of your passport information to us.
If you have any Chinese visa in your passport when we apply for a China Group Visa, the previous Chinese visa will become invalid. If you have, you can take it and use it to fly from Kathmandu to Chengdu and later get Tibet Permit for Tibet entry. WE will arrange your Tibet visa and travel permit for your Kailash Mansarovar yatra.

Day 01: - Meet at Kathmandu Airport:
Arrive at Tribhuwan International Airport in Kathmandu. Our representative will meet you there, after you finish your immigration formalities, you can get a sim card if you need it and we will take you to your hotel. When you have had your time to settle in and freshen up after your long flight. We will have a short meeting for a briefing about your program. The evening is free at your leisure, you can enjoy the delicious dinner in one of the best restaurants. Overnight stay in Kathmandu.
Day 02: - A full days sightseeing tour of Kathmandu valley:
Today after breakfast you will meet your tour guide and leavee for the sightseeing tour around Kathmandu valley. We are covering the famous Hindu temples of Pashupatinath, The Swyambhunath ( Monkey Temple), very ancient, and mostly enlisted in UNESCO World Heritage sites. The biggest Buddhist Stupa at Boudhanath. we will get back to your hotel and leave free for you to explore around.
Day 03: - Kathmandu(1320m) to Kyurung (1,895m) 165Km
Today We start our trip early morning. We drive in a beautiful scenery road through Nepal mountain village to Kerung, Nepal Tibet Border through the beautiful Nepalese countryside and after necessary border formalities at Nepali immigration. Afer we entry to the Chines part and we need to finish the immigration formalities here.After we will drive to Kerung Town. Stay Overnight at Guest House.
Day 04: - Kyurung(1,895) to Saga(4,600m)265km.
Today after breakfast we start driving to Saga. The mornign drive is very pleasant and nice view. some of the y group also visit Kyidrong (Dzongka)5,170m, Shangyala, we will reach in Saga Overnight Hotel.
Day 05: - Saga(4,600m.) to Mansoravar(4,505m) 420km.
Early breakfast and get ready for another exciting day. Late afternoon you can have the first view of Holy Mt. Kailash and Lake Mansarovar. Today we will pass a small village which is situated near Holy Mansarovar Lake. Enjoy the calm lake of Holy Mansarovar (14950 ft/4558m). It is the highest lake of fresh water with a turquoise complexion in the world is full of fishes and swans. Holy Mt. Kailash, Mt. Gurula-Mandala, Lake Rakshash are lying on its surroundings. These regions has gold and other mines, hot springs, and hundreds of wild living creatures. We can watch several monasteries along the 145km including Dargyeling Monastery, passes Lhaksang, Zamlungla then we will reach Zhongna. Overnight at Guest House. Day 06: - Mansarovar – then drive to Darchen (4,660m) 53km.
Early morning today we are worshipping on the bank of Manasarover. Holy Mansarovar is the lake of compassion, tranquility, and bliss. We will do the memorable morning bath and puja here. After we are driving for Holy Mansarovar Parikrama by Landcruiser with packed lunch and continue to drive towards Tarchen (Darchen). If time permits, we visit Chui Gompa. Tarchen is like a base camp for Holy Kailash Parikrama. During the auspicious pilgrimage time, this place will be flooded with pilgrims with hundreds of tents all around. Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner
Day 07: - Darchen(4,460) – Dira Phuk (4,900m) 18km.
We will drive a little and start our Kora walking from here. The east-west ridge blocks your view of Mt Kailash, but to the southeast are clear views of huge Gurla Mandata(7728m), Visit to Dira Phuk Monastery, Overnight at camp. We are walking on a beautiful rocky cliffs; waterfalls with some clouds in the clear blue sky make you feeling that Great God Shiva is everywhere with tons of blessings to you. Time to time the face of Kailash Parbat will be kept on appearing. Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner.
Day 08: - Dira Phuk – Zutul Phuk (4,750m) 20km.
Today we are going to cross the (Dolma-La 18600 ft) and then descending gradually to Zuthulpuk (4760m). Today is the most difficult day of the trek. Once you reach the top, just do the holiest offering and sit down for meditation to forget in eternity. Once your steps go down, We can see the Parvati and Gauri Kunda nad people bring the water from there. By late afternoon you will arrive in Zuthulpuk (the cave of Miracles, the great ascetic Milerappa is supposed to have performed miracles here)
Day 09: - Zutul Phuk - New Dongba (4,430m) 15km.
Today is a more pleasant walking day not more climbing up hills. Zutul- Phuk Monastery We are trekking above the river and enters the lovely Golds and Red Cliffs a narrow canyon whose walls are stained purple, cobalt, and rust. You can see canyon narrows look for holes gouged into the cliff walls. You can look the holy stone made by pilgrims Also, look for the far distance the blue waters of the lake Rakshas Tal. Drive to New Dongba Overnight Guest House.
Day 10: - New Dong ba drive to Saga 435Km
Drive back to Tingri. From today you will be leaving this holy place. Overnight at Hotel.
Day 11: - Saga to Kyurung (3,900m)420Km
After breakfast drive to Kerung.You will see the panoramic Himalayan range.
Day 12 - Kerung Drive back to Kathmandu.165Km
After Breakfast scenic drive to Kathmandu border formalities at Chinese immigration and drive to Kathmandu. Stay Overnight at Hotel.
Day 13 - Kathmandu free day
Today is a free day in Kathmandu, you can do shopping, look around Thamel Can visit Dreams of Gardens, In the evening we will have farewell dinner.
Day 14 - Depart from Kathmandu to your home, Airport drop.
We will take you to the Kathmandu Airport to catch your flight to your home. Our staff will take care of your safe and timely arrival at the Tribhuvan International Terminal and help you arrange your last minute departure details.
