 Kathmandu to Syabrubesi

Kiyrong Acclimatization

The next day, we continue our journey from Kyirong to Saga which takes approximately 4 hours, 170 km. The route passes through Kyirong High Pass, Qomolangma High Pass, and Waterfall. You will get to see Ganesh Parbat and Lake Peiku Tso and eventually cross the bridge over the Brahmaputra River (Yarlung Tsangpo in Tibetan).

Saga to Mansarovar Lake

Drive to Yama Dwara, Trek to Derapuk

After a short drive, we arrive at Tarboche and visit Rama Dwara. It is also known as the “Gateway of the God of Death.” Kailash Parikrama begins with Yama Dwara. Here, you will get a glimpse of Mount Kailash.

From Yama Dwara, the trek starts to Derapuk. The trek passes by waterfalls, rocky cliffs, and high-altitude terrain. Upon arrival, check into the guest house and rest.

Trek to Zuthulpuk
